Leslie Stirm, owner of Instrumental Music Center had long wanted some video content made to support their music store's school band instrument rental program. The store supports a large geographical area and needed content to help support their brand and their program. We talked via phone and I planned some initial thoughts with the staff via email before scheduling the trip to Tucson.
With just two days of capture in an operating and open store, it was important to be nimble and able to switch gears quickly. An accommodating staff and an engaged owner were key to getting everything captured in a timely fashion.
During post, the staff provided an excellent brand kit and responsive feedback to make sure content and motion graphics were in line with their upbeat quirky image.

Creating a campaign - a breakdown
IMC had great brand guidelines in place and we had a strong gameplay for content building. We took specific topics tangentially related to the overall theme of school band instruments. I created shot form platform-specific content to help support the overall message as a campaign, rather than driving viewers to other platforms. This created more touch points for worried parents to get their questions answered and develop purchase intent. These also serve as a video FAQ.
Support for this campaign is ongoing and we're making further content to follow up and expand the video presence for IMC.
