Taylor Guitars

Video production, editing, audio mixing, blogging

Taylor initially approached me to write blog posts for their website. After writing a few successful blogs, I pitched them on some original content to connect with the YouTube audience. I traveled to Nashville, TN in 2018 to film video blogs, or vlogs, chronicling what the Summer NAMM Show experience was like. This was followed up by being tasked to edit some internal footage in fall of 2018, leading up to the launch of their new Grand Pacific model at The NAMM Show in January 2019. I was also hired to come make video blogs for NAMM 2019.
This led to editing the NAMM Show booth performances, which included mixing the live audio recorded via the soundboard, which was the first audio I mixed for their content. In July of 2019 I traveled to Nashville for Summer NAMM to direct what would become the first Acoustic Sessions videos at Southern Ground Nashville, Zac Brown Band's recording studio. All the audio was tracked by Southern Ground Nashville, then I mixed the audio and edited the video here at Upperhand. The first episode launched was a stripped down version of Daniel Donato's "Always Been A Lover," which the artist liked enough to then release the audio as a single. I also filmed video blogs for Summer NAMM, and began mixing the Taylor Guitars From The Factory Podcast.
In September 2019 I traveled again to Nashville to direct the next batch of Acoustic Sessions videos, which were 23 artists filmed over 3 days.
In January 2020, I traveled to Anaheim to film daily recap videos and help manage Taylor social media.
